Synopsis
At the opening of a new exhibition on the Hainanese community in Singapore, memories are excavated through the stories of three Hainanese immigrants of different generations, their connections to an island they left for another, and the sea that connects them.

About the Programme
True/South is a response to the Tanjong Pagar Distripark, a point of entry for many of the migrant flows in this island’s history, inviting us to think about how Singapore is linked to other places and the ports of call- concrete and mythological.
